Join a dedicated healthcare team supporting both administrative and clinical needs of physicians and licensed medical staff in a gynecologic oncology setting. This role involves assisting with patient vital signs, updating medical charts, compiling statistical data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Education, Training, and Experience: Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and have graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program. Successful completion of a nationally recognized certification exam is required. Acceptable certifications include CMA (American Association of Medical Assistants), RMA (American Medical Technologists), CCMA (National Healthcareer Association), and others from recognized organizations. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: New hires must complete specific competency requirements within the first month, including medication administration exams, waived testing competencies, AED training, and phlebotomy classes. The position requires the ability to see, hear, read, and use clinical and office equipment effectively. Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, and lifting, with potential exposure to blood or infectious materials. Physical Requirements: Must be able to navigate various departments and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare personnel.
