Lead Applied Scientist, AI Lab Team

Your role will involve designing novel AI solutions for Amazon’s vast catalog of products and contributing to the development of state-of-the-art AI models. Collaborate with seasoned scientists and researchers to push the boundaries of AI, applying your expertise to real-world problems on an unprecedented scale. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement innovative AI solutions for the Amazon product catalog. Develop and train leading-edge LLMs, Diffusion Models, and Generative AI models. Build and deploy autonomous AI Agents in Amazon’s production environment. Scale AI models to efficiently manage billions of diverse products across multiple languages and geographies. Conduct research in areas such as Autonomous AI Agents, Generative AI, Language Modeling, Multi-modality Computer Vision, and Reinforcement Learning. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully integrate AI models into Amazon’s ecosystem. Contribute to the scientific community through publications and conference presentations. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 3+ years of experience in building machine learning models for business applications. PhD or Master’s degree with 6+ years of applied research experience. Proficient in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or similar. Experienced with neural deep learning methods and machine learning methodologies. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Familiar with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, TensorFlow, NumPy, and SciPy. Experience with large-scale distributed systems like Hadoop and Spark. This position offers competitive compensation, with base pay ranging from $150,400 to $260,000 annually, depending on geographic location and other factors such as knowledge and experience.
