CDL A - Lowboy Trailer Driver

Job Full Description Job Summary We are seeking an experienced CDL-A Driver with Lowboy trailer experience to safely transport heavy equipment and oversized loads to and from job sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of load securement, route planning, and DOT compliance, with a focus on safety and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Operate a CDL-A truck with lowboy/lowbed trailers to haul heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, dozers, skid steers, cranes, and construction machinery) Safely load, secure, and unload equipment using chains, binders, and tie-downs in compliance with DOT regulations Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of truck and trailer Plan routes considering height, weight, and road restrictions Maintain accurate logs, trip reports, and delivery documentation Communicate effectively with dispatch, site supervisors, and customers Adhere to all company safety policies, DOT regulations, and local/state laws Assist with basic equipment maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly Qualifications Valid Class A CDL (required) 2+ years of CDL-A driving experience, with proven lowboy/heavy haul experience Strong knowledge of load securement and oversized/overweight hauling Clean or acceptable MVR Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check Experience hauling construction or industrial equipment preferred Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or extended shifts as needed Physical Requirements Ability to climb on/off equipment and trailers Ability to lift, carry, and secure heavy chains and binders Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Resume Submission Guidelines When submitting your resume, please be as detailed and thorough as possible when listing your work history.
