RN Manager Mother-Baby

Job Summary and Qualifications • Provides nursing leadership for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care and safety for Womens and Childrens Float Pool, GYN Postpartum, Womens Surgery, Lactation Consultants, and Birth Certificate Registrars. • Collaborates with physicians, other departments, to coordinate the needs of patients and their families. • Manages resources in a fiscally responsible manner. • Supports the mission and vision of the facility, division and company. • Assures quality care through the initiation and evaluation of patient care utilizing performance improvement processes. What qualifications you will need • Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing required, BSN preferred. • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. • Ability to achieve and maintain BLS and NRP certification • Three years current experience in the designated clinical area required (L&D; NICU; postpartum) • One year manager/charge current experience within Womens' Service required • Professional Certification preferred Additional Information LeapFrog; Patient Safety Grade A Blue Distinction® Center - Maternity Care Healthgrades Critical Care Excellence Award 350+ bed facility Johnson County's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center Has an antepartum unit, a labor and delivery unit, and a Level III NICU 30 full time direct reports Reports to the Director of Womens' Services General Comments Salary Range $_75_K min - $_100_ max K; Based on years of experience
