Test Technician

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Test Technician in Chelmsford, MA for a 1-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This is an onsite production role focused on electrical and RF testing of systems, sub-assemblies, and circuit boards using manual and automated test equipment. This role is assigned to the Weekend Day shift (Fri-Sun); however, the selected contractor must start and train on 1st shift before transitioning to the weekend shift. Required Skills High school diploma or GED Basic computer skills (timekeeping, accessing digital work instructions, task confirmation, and data entry) Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Knowledge of ESD procedures and safe handling of electronic hardware Preferred Skills Experience with electrical and/or microelectronics testing or assembly Familiarity with measuring instruments and electronic test equipment (manual and automated) Basic troubleshooting and re-test experience on electronic assemblies What You'll Do Perform electrical and RF testing on systems, sub-assemblies, and circuit boards using manual and automated test equipment Execute work per process/work instructions and test plans to ensure products meet quality requirements Use measuring instruments and electronic test equipment to validate results and document outcomes Enter test data into test databases, generate reports, and support improvements to test procedures Perform basic troubleshooting and re-testing of electronic assemblies Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve throughput and resolve test issues Work Schedule / Shift Weekend Day shift, full-time: Friday-Sunday, 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM (overtime may be available) Training requirement: Must start and train on 1st shift: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, before moving to the weekend shift Job ID: 20089 "Military veterans and transitioning military members are encouraged to apply to all PGS Worldwide positions.
