RN - Registered Nurse - Ambulatory PreOp/PACU PRN

Position Details: Location: BayCare Minimally Invasive Surgery Center, 5329 Primrose Lake Circle, Tampa, FL 33647 Status: PRN Shift: Variable, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM On Call: No Always in person The procedural RN responsibilities include: RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization RN also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned For this position, we prefer at least 18 months of acute care experience with 1 year RN experience in Endoscopy, PreOp and PACU, or Critical Care. This is a PRN position that will be focused on PreOp and PACU. PreOp and PACU experience is strongly preferred.Certifications and Licensures: BLS (Basic Life Support) RN (Registered Nurse) ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department Preferred Nurse Specialty Education: Associate's Nursing or Diploma Nursing Preferred Bachelor's Nursing Experience: Required 1 year acute care experience or 1 year interventional / procedural experience or 6 months RN acute care or interventional / procedural experience with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment. Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship.
