Job specification Candidate requirements Job specification Lead and manage the nursing staff within the Cardiac Stepdown unit, overseeing recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation. Supervise patient care activities, ensuring compassionate, patient-centered, and high-quality care. Oversee daily operations, including resource allocation, equipment maintenance, and inventory management for the Cardiac Stepdown unit. Ensure adherence to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards related to cardiac care. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize cardiac services. Candidate requirements A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related field is preferred. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas. A minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in cardiac care, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. Certification in Cardiac Nursing (CCRN) is preferred. Why work with us?
