This position offers a dynamic blend of hospital-based psychiatric care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and academic involvement within a major tertiary care hospital. Clinical ResponsibilitiesProvide psychiatric consultation services for patients admitted to the medical and surgical units as part of a well-established Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry team Deliver comprehensive psychiatric care to inpatients on a multidisciplinary team in our state-of-the-art inpatient psychiatric unit (opening April 2026) Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other specialists to support integrated, whole-person care Academic & Teaching OpportunitiesWork with and teach medical students from Georgetown University School of Medicine Supervise and collaborate with MedStar Georgetown psychiatry residents Engage with a Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry fellow as part of an academically focused service This role is ideal for a psychiatrist who enjoys a strong academic environment and values teaching and mentorship.
