Job Title: Stamping Tool & Die TechnicianLocation: Huntsville, AL Pay Range: $36.50 - $48.50 per hour (Based on experience) Shift: 7:00PM-3:45 PM and 7:00 AM-3:45 AM with OT potential to 6:45. Rotating shifts every 30 days Job Type: Full-time, Direct Hire Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Stamping Tool & Die Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining stamping dies and tooling used in high-volume manufacturing operations. This role requires expertise in precision machining, blueprint reading, troubleshooting, and working with various metals to ensure production efficiency and quality. Key Responsibilities: Fabricate, repair, and maintain progressive and transfer stamping dies. Operate lathes, grinders, milling machines, and other precision equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings. Troubleshoot die performance issues and make necessary adjustments. Perform preventative maintenance on stamping dies to minimize downtime. Work closely with production and engineering teams to optimize tooling performance. Ensure all tools and dies meet quality and safety standards. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Maintain accurate records of tool modifications and repairs. Qualifications: Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Tool & Die Maker in a stamping environment. Strong understanding of metal stamping processes and die maintenance. Proficiency in CNC machining, EDM, and conventional machining techniques. Ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications. Experience with troubleshooting and root cause analysis of die-related issues. Familiarity with various steels, coatings, and heat treatment processes. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Journeyman Tool & Die Certification or equivalent experience. Experience with high-speed progressive dies and transfer tooling. Knowledge of CAD/CAM software for die design and modifications. Benefits: Competitive hourly pay ($27 - $35) based on experience.
