Come Grow With Us!Type: Full-Time (75 hours biweekly) Shift: Days Hours: 8:00am- 4:30pm Pay: $142,000 - $155,000 Job Description: The Director of Payroll is responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of payroll operations to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across the organization. This role provides strategic leadership, manages payroll systems and teams, ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and partners closely with Finance, people Operations, Legal, and IT. Responsibilities:Lead, manage, and develop the payroll function, including payroll managers, analysts, and support staff. Oversee end-to-end payroll processing. Ensure compliance with all applicable payroll laws and regulations (FLSA, IRS, State and Local tax laws, wage and hour laws, etc.) Establish and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls. Partner with People Operations, Finance, and Legal to support compensation programs, benefits deductions, and equity/bonus payments. Oversee payroll tax filings, reconciliations, audits, and year-end activities (W2, 1009, amendments, etc.) Manage relationships with payroll vendors and service providers (ADP and UKG). Lead payroll system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and process improvements. Analyze payroll data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for efficiency and cost savings. Serve as a subject matter expert for payroll-related inquiries and escalations. Ensure compliance and support internal and external audits. Work in partnership with Finance Team on calculating and recording all accruals related to payroll. Work in partnership with People Operations to include Position Control and Workforce Management meetings. Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred). 10+ years of progressive payroll experience, including leadership at a managerial or director level. Extensive knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements. Strong systems experience with major payroll platforms. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification preferred. Proven ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional projects.
