Our client is currently seeking a Design and Analysis Engineer 4 ( Electronic System Design & Analysis) As a Level 4 Design and Analysis Engineer, you will lead complex electronic and electrical system projects throughout the entire product lifecycle. This role involves high-level coordination between customer requirements, system architecture, and supplier performance. This job will have the following responsibilities: Primary Responsibilities Requirement Development: Lead the documentation and development of complex electronic/electrical system requirements in collaboration with customers. Architecture & Design: Coordinate the translation of requirements into robust system architecture, hardware/software designs, and detailed interface specifications. Validation & Testing: Oversee testing phases to ensure all designs meet functional and operational requirements. Supplier Oversight: Monitor supplier performance to ensure seamless system integration and compliance. Lifecycle Support: Solve complex problems for fielded hardware and software and provide ongoing technical support. Technology Research: Evaluate technology advances and provide recommendations for strategic company investments. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science. Experience Levels: Bachelor's degree: 9+ years of experience. Master's degree: 7+ years of experience. PhD: 4+ years of experience. Technical Expertise: At least 3 years of familiarity with electrical avionics system design, including: Subsystem and interface cable design. Hardware/software integration and lab testing. Vendor coordination for part selection. Hardware Knowledge: Familiarity with VPX/VME form factors. Communication Standards: Knowledge of RS422/RS232, PC104, TCP/IP & Ethernet, IEEE-488, MMSI, and MIL-STD-1553. Domain Knowledge: Technical experience in air vehicle and/or weapons systems. Preferred Skills & Certifications Cyber Security: Knowledge of cybersecurity principles or active certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+). Military Standards: Familiarity with MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-1472. Design Tools: Proficiency in CAD and creating electrical schematics. Systems Engineering: Experience with MBSE, DOORS, CAMEO, or Earned Value Management (EVM).
