Certified Surgical Technologist

Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist Location: Bradenton, FL Job Summary: We seek Certified Surgical Technologists who will assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients by performing various technical duties. As a Surgical Technologist, you will assemble supplies and equipment for surgical procedures, prepare the patient's skin for surgery, maintain aseptic techniques, transport patients to and from the surgical suite, and assist the surgical team during procedures. Responsibilities: Assemble supplies and equipment for surgical procedures. Prepare sterile instrument table. Prepare patient skin for surgery. Maintain aseptic techniques and monitor for breaches. Provide comfort and support for pre-operative patients. Transport patients to and from surgical suite. Position patient according to type of surgery. Assist surgical team in passing instruments, sponges, and sutures. Maintain work area and gather equipment for cleaning and sterilization. Monitor the patient during the procedure. Provide age and culturally appropriate care. Orient and mentor new staff members. Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Qualifications: Graduate of a formal surgical technologist program or equivalent training. Certification as a Surgical Technologist required. Hospital surgical tech experience preferred. Detail-oriented with the ability to sustain concentration over long periods of time. Must have at least 1 year of experience and not open to new grads. Ability to do on-call and live within 30 minutes of facility. Compensation: Salary range: $18.50 - $25 per hour Evening Shift Diff: $1.50 Night Shift Diff: $2.50 Weekend Diff: $1 On-Call Pay: $3.50 Sign-on Bonus: $10,000 Relocation: Yes (case by case) Note: Flexibility in salary will depend on the level of experience.
