Job Posting Assistant Nurse Manager - PCU Position Summary: Work in coordination with the Patient Care Unit Director to ensure the work is accomplished safely and effectively. Education: • Current licensure in the State of North Carolina or compact state as a Registered Nurse • BLS certification required • BSN preferred Experience: • 3-5 years' experience in an acute care setting preferred • Previous leadership experience preferred Functions of the Position (not an exhaustive list): • Serves as leadership support for staff, physicians, and other related providers on PCU-specific clinical issues • Serves as the leader support for the PCU when the Director is unavailable. • Supervising, directing, coaching and mentoring staff with the direction of the department Director • Responsible for the scheduling of staff for the department • Participate with the Director in the interview process and selection of new staff • Consult with Educator, preceptors and orientees on a regular basis to provide support and for new employees and ongoing competency planning • At Director's request assist in personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations and other related activities Additional Information Position Type : Full Time Shift : Other Contact Information Megan Shrewsbury - HR Manager Human Resources 924 N.
