Senior DevSecOps Consultant

CTG is seeking to fill a Senior DevSecOps Consultant position for our client.Location: Piscataway, NJDuration: 12 monthsDuties: Support Production Release coordination activities for two U.S.-based agile squads, managing Data/ETL and Java/API code deployments. Collaborate closely with Scrum Masters, Development, QA, and Operations/Run-the-Business (RTB) teams to ensure stable and reliable software delivery. Coordinate and manage release artifacts including implementation plans, peer review checklists, deployment documentation, and change records. Adhere to established SLAs for release task acceptance, execution, and closure. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, standardization, and quality within the release management lifecycle. Build, configure, and support CI/CD pipelines for ETL and API-based applications (Java/Python) as needed. Analyze client IT environments (on-premises and/or cloud) to identify DevSecOps maturity gaps and optimization opportunities. Develop gap analyses and design DevSecOps automation roadmaps spanning development, security, and operations. Architect and integrate DevSecOps toolchains, defining interfaces and workflows across build, test, security scanning, deployment, and monitoring platforms. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to DevOps engineers and project teams across the Solution / Build / Test / Deploy lifecycle. Support application performance monitoring, operational stability, and continuous improvement initiatives. Research and evaluate emerging DevSecOps tools, technologies, and industry trends to support solution innovation and delivery excellence. Skills: DevOps/DevSecOps experience with CI/CD pipeline design and implementation for ETL and API-based applications (Java and/or Python). Strong understanding of release management, change management, and deployment coordination processes. Experience with enterprise DevSecOps toolchains (e.g., Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps, artifact repositories, automated testing, security scanning tools). Hands-on experience with JIRA and ServiceNow (or similar work management and ITSM platforms). Knowledge of cloud and/or traditional infrastructure environments. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and cross-functional team collaboration. Understanding of application performance monitoring, logging, and operational best practices. Strong documentation, process improvement, and stakeholder coordination skills. Experience: 8+ years of IT experience with a focus on DevOps, DevSecOps, release engineering, or application consulting. Proven experience supporting production releases in complex enterprise environments. Experience designing or implementing DevSecOps automation strategies and tooling architectures. Background working with data integration/ETL workflows and API-based services preferred. Experience mentoring technical team members and supporting enterprise-scale delivery initiatives. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure, DevOps, Security, ITIL, or Agile) are a plus. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
