Speech Language Pathologist - PRN

SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGISTMUST BE A GRADUATE OF A MASTER'S PROGRAM AS A SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST SLP, HAVE TAKEN THE PRAXIS OR ELIGIBLE TO TAKE IT AND HAVE A STATE LICENSE TO PRACTICE AS ONE OR ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR ONE.Duties/Responsibilities: Assesses the needs of residents with speech or language disorders and matches their needs with services available. Meets with residents regularly according to treatment program schedule, evaluates, and maintains records of residents' progress. Reports progress to management and family members and meets with them on a regular basis to discuss. Repeats evaluations on a regular basis to measure progress according to professional guidelines. Keeps current with professional literature and attends seminars on a regular basis to maintain and update professional skills. Required Skills/Abilities: Hearing ability sufficient to evaluate residents' speech. Skill communicating verbally and in writing with residents and family members so that all parties understand the program and the degree of progress being made.
