Job Description A local company is seeking an individual to perform a variety of duties throughout the facility. You will operate machines and tools, assemble and check parts, make final inspections, perform maintenance of equipment, vehicles, and facilities, and maintain warehouse inventory. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Job Responsibilities: Perform finishing operations to customer supplied, vendor supplied, and machine shop supplied parts, study drawings, sketches, or sample parts to determine production and machining requirements Operate various machines and tools on trial run to verify accuracy of operations being performed and verify material type, grade, size, quantity, drawing, sketch, and revisions Confer with Production Manager and QC personnel as required to resolve problems and verify conformance of the machining, assembly, or painting operation as outlined Perform machining, assembly, marking, painting, and packaging operations as required per instructions, verify quantities, and move the machined and/or finished parts to the next work area as describe on the traveler Report any hardware, paint, or tooling needs to maintain inventory at proper levels, machine and tooling faults to Production Manager, and work with Facilities and Equipment personnel during maintenance and repair activities Maintain the cleanliness of the machines, tools, spray booth, all equipment, vehicles, and facilities, or supervise the maintenance of equipment, vehicles, and facilities by outside vendors and contractors Perform final inspection as the last verification that the part appears correct Set up and operate computerized and manual machinery to fabricate rigid and flexible parts Maintain warehouse, pull stock for internal use, package the distribution orders, and receive material Pack, prepare paperwork, perform material handling functions, and get products ready for shipment Follow all company needs, applicable policies, and ISO procedures Job RequirementsJob Qualifications: Must have experience operating a forklift, be certified, or have the ability to be certified, be trained to use a tape measure, caliper, micrometer, and basic shop calculations Must have previous assembly, finish, final inspection, saw, slit, machining, receiving, warehouse and shipping experience Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during the workday, bend at the knees to facilitate lifting, and band at the waist to lean into machine tool enclosures to load and unload parts Must have the ability to climb on bed of large mills to properly seat materials with fixturing tape to secure for machining Must be able to stand and or walk around the plant for the duration of the workday The ability to work a 40-hour standard shift and overtime hours when necessary is required Must possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to be insured by the Company Must be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and dependable Only candidates that can pass a background, BMV check, and drug screen will be considered.
