Snapshot / Role Overview We're seeking a Senior Project Manager in Colorado Springs, CO to lead complex mechanical construction projects and mentor project teams. Impact Lead multi-million dollar mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout Develop junior project managers and coordinators through hands-on mentoring and training Drive operational excellence through standardized processes and best practices implementation Maintain strong client relationships resulting in repeat business and referrals Ensure projects meet quality standards while achieving target profit margins Responsibilities Direct all phases of large-scale HVAC and mechanical construction projects Mentor and develop junior project management staff and coordinators Establish project controls including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management protocols Lead preconstruction activities including value engineering and constructability reviews Negotiate change orders and resolve disputes with owners and general contractors Coordinate with design teams to optimize mechanical system layouts and specifications Oversee subcontractor selection, contracts, and performance management Conduct regular project reviews with senior leadership and ownership Requirements Must-Haves 8+ years of mechanical construction project management experience Proven success managing projects valued at $3M+ with complex scope requirements Strong leadership abilities with experience developing and coaching team members Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field Excellent written and verbal communication skills for executive-level presentations Willingness to travel up to 25% for multi-location projects Nice-to-Haves Professional Engineer (PE) license in mechanical or related discipline Experience with design-build and design-assist project delivery methods Knowledge of building automation systems and energy efficiency technologies Previous work in healthcare, data center, or mission-critical facility construction Compensation & Logistics Competitive salary depending on experience; benefits include health insurance, dental coverage, 401k matching, PTO, paid holidays, company vehicle, and performance bonuses.
