We are seeking a high-level Multicraft Maintenance Technician for a premier manufacturing facility in Nashville. This role is designed for a technical "Swiss Army Knife" capable of managing complex electrical troubleshooting and heavy mechanical repairs to minimize production downtime. Core Responsibilities Electrical & Controls: Troubleshooting and integrating PLCs (Honeywell/Intelligrated) and automated systems. Diagnosing defects in wiring, switches, and motors while ensuring code compliance. Mechanical & Hydraulics: Maintaining and repairing 400-1000 ton hydraulic presses, conveyor systems, and robotic welding units. Preventative Maintenance: Executing precision PMs on motors, pulleys, and pneumatic systems. Precision Tooling: Utilizing micrometers, calipers, and indicators to maintain tolerances of $+/- .001$ to $.003$ during machine rebuilds. Requirements Experience: 3-5 years of multicraft industrial maintenance experience. Technical Literacy: Expert ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints. Safety Mastery: Deep knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and arc flash safety protocols. Testing: Must pass a mechanical aptitude evaluation and a math test (precision scales and fractional math). This includes complex electrical systems, PLC-driven equipment, and heavy-duty mechanical stamping and welding systems. Core Responsibilities PLC & Controls: Setup, integrate, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) on various production machines to resolve recurring issues. Stamping & Press Maintenance: Maintain and repair hydraulic and mechanical stamping presses (often ranging from 400 to 1000 tons). Welding Systems: Troubleshoot and repair automated resistance welding systems and robotics. Electrical Systems: Isolate defects in wiring, switches, and motors. Replace faulty components and ensure all work conforms to local building and safety codes. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Execute scheduled PMs on motors, conveyor systems, and pneumatic tools to ensure maximum production uptime and quality. Heavy Equipment: Service and repair plant utility equipment, including overhead cranes and large-capacity forklifts.
