The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Government SAP Security Officer - JPO (NH-0080-03) to serve the F-35 Joint Program Office under Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC). Multiple vacant positions may be filled using this LinkedIn Posting. In this role, your Mission Overview is the following: This position supports the F-35 Joint Program Office Security Directorate. The incumbent is the F-35 Joint Program Office Special Security Representative in Arlington, VA. This position plans, organizes and directs SCI and SAP security for the F-35 Joint Program Office. This position supports a unique Joint Program Office to provide guidance and management of highly classified program elements and requires maintaining effective security support across multiple disciplines, including Collateral, SAP, Industrial, SCI, and Program Protection for US, Partners and FMS capabilities. Focused Area of Support: As the Special Security Representative (SSR) and Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO), you will support the Security Director by ensuring compliance with security requirements for accrediting sensitive compartmented information facilities (SCIFs) and interface with the Intelligence Community (IC) on matters related to SCIFs. Provide technical and physical security recommendations to Security Director and Deputy concerning the accreditation proposed SCIFs for the Joint Program Office (JPO). Assist in overseeing the execution of policies and directives for the intelligence complex. Participate in working group meetings and regularly interact with the program personnel for essential physical and technical matters pertaining to SCIFs. Research and analyze emerging security technology and requirements to identify implementation requirements, resource implications and impact on existing security infrastructure and operations. Expertise in program protection, physical, system, information, industrial, personnel, operations security concepts, principles, and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas. Preferred experience within SAP and SCI program environment. 2. Extensive knowledge of organization's missions, functions, and structure to ensure effective implementation of oversight of special programs security concepts, principles and practices. 3. Expertise in developing, analyzing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the F-35 Joint Program Office Security Directorate. 4. Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately. 5. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. 6. Knowledge of government contractual practices and requirements for development and purchase of USAF acquisition programs and/or supporting programs/projects. Must be familiar with Defense Industrial Base security organization, operations, and management practices. This position is not remote, the selectee will be expected to report to the duty station(s) listed. The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments. Work may occasionally require the employee to work outside the normal business hours. This position is designated a national security position. This position has been designated as Special-Sensitive (High Risk) and requires a TS security clearance at the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) level. The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain this level of clearance prior to entrance on duty; failure to do so may result in separation from federal service.
