INDUSTRIAL PAINTER ASSISTANT/DAY SHIFT/$15-17 DOE

Position: Industrial Painter Assistant in PRYOR, OK Overview: We're seeking a dedicated Industrial Painter Assistant to support the painting and finishing process for metal components and equipment. This position is responsible for preparing parts for painting through sanding, grinding, buffing, and masking, as well as applying primer coats. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, quality workmanship, and a commitment to safety in all tasks. Responsibilities: • Prepare materials for painting by sanding, grinding, buffing, and masking parts • Pull and verify materials prior to cleaning and painting • Safely set up and operate paint shop equipment and tools • Mix and apply primer to metal surfaces with minimal defects • Identify and fill surface finish blemishes to meet quality standards • Perform regular maintenance and clean-up of paint booths and related equipment • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving paint-related issues • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members • Follow all safety and PPE (personal protective equipment) requirements • Maintain a clean and organized work area • Support and comply with company Health, Safety, Quality, and Lean initiatives Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required • Experience in industrial or automotive painting preferred • Familiarity with wet painting using a spray gun and automated paint lines • Strong attention to detail and ability to differentiate between colors • Ability to read and understand simple part drawings and work instructions • Strong work ethic, dependability, and teamwork skills • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks such as bending, squatting, and standing for extended periods • Knowledge of proper handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals and waste • Willingness to work overtime when needed Preferred Competencies: • Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship • Positive, open, and professional attitude toward others • Self-motivated with strong time management and work standards Schedule: • First shift 6-2:30 M-F Pay: $15-17 per hour, depending on experience Abundant Solutions 5151 S Mingo Rd Suite D Tulsa, OK 74146 Send resumes to
