Orange Ave., Suite 689, Orlando, FL 32804Monday - Friday 8am - 5pmwill float to other locations as needed in Orlando, Winter Park, East Orlando and Altamonte Follows laboratory policies when test systems are not within established ranges. Documents all corrective actions when test systems deviate from established protocols. Follows the laboratory’s Quality Assurance Program, monitoring and recording monthly QA activities. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and standards. Maintains a clean and organized work environment. Communicates effectively with team members and other healthcare professionals. Participates in continuing education and training programs. Assists in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and protocols. Performs waived or moderately complex tests authorized by appropriate personnel. Follows laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing test analyses, reporting, and maintaining records of patient test results. Adheres to quality control policies and procedures, documenting all QC activities including instrument preventive maintenance and calibration verification. Performs proficiency test samples and maintains records of each event. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:• Appropriate technical knowledge [Required]• Excellent communicator in all formats [Required]• Attention to detail [Required]• General knowledge of Medicare, PPO's, and HMO's [Required]• Current basic computer skills, data input [Required]• Good business office organizational skills [Required]• Good verbal and written communication skills [Required]• Ability to work well independently and with others in a team environment [Required]• Ability to adapt to change [Required]• Must have basic training in taking vitals, performing electrocardiograms [Required]Education:• Associate [Required]Field of Study:• in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution OR Successful completion of at least a 50-week official US military medical laboratory procedures training course and currently hold or have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician); or qualified and served as high complexity testing personnel on or before April 24, 1995 in a CLIA-certified laboratory as of December 28, 2024, and have done so continuously since December 28, 2024.
