Job Description Marysville, MI Machinist Set-Up Technician - Direct HireAbout the Role: We are seeking an experienced Machinist Set-Up Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating machinery to ensure quality, quantity, and efficiency standards are met. Key Responsibilities:Set up and operate tools, machinery, and equipment according to instructions and specifications. Select, place, and secure tools as needed. Place and secure work pieces in the proper machine table, holding device, or other suitable surface using clamps and wrenches. Verify the quality performance of each machine by observing its operation. Adjust necessary controls to regulate machines' performance and inspect tooling for damage or wear, making repairs or replacements as necessary. Determine whether machinery is functioning properly based on specifications for expectations such as fixtures, cutting speeds, or feed rates. Report any issues or problems to the immediate supervisor. Act as a department communicator during status meetings, management updates, and shift changes. Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety. E nsure work is done safely, consistently, and meets quality standards. Identify, tag, and remove non-conforming materials. Accurately complete all required paperwork in a timely manner. Communicate with other departments as necessary. Keep work areas clean and organized. Adhere to all company rules and policies. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor. Requirements: This position requires: Strong knowledge of machining principles and practices. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. The ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure. A high level of attention to detail and commitment to quality. Basic math skills and proficiency in standard measuring tools
