JOB SUMMARY The Accounting Analyst will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the Palmyra site, working closely with the Senior Accounting Lead to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective cross-functional collaboration. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a team environment and is eager to contribute to process improvements and operational excellence. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare and post recurring journal entries and perform account reconciliations to support month-end close activities. Support Accounts Payable functions, including gathering and validating invoice data, coordinating with internal stakeholders for approvals, ensuring proper coding and documentation, and supporting timely and accurate disbursements and forecasting. Assist in cost roll processes and provide data analysis to support financial decision-making. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, materials, and quality to ensure accurate financial data and reporting. Maintain and improve internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies. Participate in financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting activities. Assist with external audit preparation and provide necessary documentation. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance system utilization. Provide financial support to both the Palmyra and Rochester sites as needed. Travel up to 25% to either site depending on location and business needs. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESKnowledge Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls. Familiarity with ERP systems and financial software. Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and cost accounting. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively across departments. Abilities High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Adaptability to changing business needs and environments. Strong interpersonal skills and team-oriented mindset. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEEducation Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not required. Experience 2-5 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods. Occasional kneeling, bending, or walking may be required. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. PPE may be required when visiting plant sites.
