Salary : $61,297.60 - $74,505.60 Annually Location : Sacramento, CA Job Type: FULL TIME (NON-EXEMPT) Job Number: 3117-2025 Department: Finance Opening Date: 10/24/2025 Closing Date: Continuous Position Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) is currently accepting applications for multiple Senior Account Clerk positions. Applications will be screened after the following filing deadlines at 5PM: 1/5/26, 2/9/26(final) This is the lead worker/advanced journey level class in the Account Clerk series. Some incumbents may give directions and review the work of a group of workers while performing the same duties as the workers. Other incumbents may perform the more advanced clerical accounting duties within the assigned work unit. The principal factors used to distinguish this class are from the class of Account Clerk. A Senior Account Clerk may be assigned as a lead worker, with ongoing and formal responsibility for the productivity of the assigned work unit as well as the quality of the work performed. Lead worker duties, which may include scheduling and assigning work to subordinates, directing subordinates on a day-to-day basis, reviewing the work, and ensuring that staff receives appropriate training, represent the primary factor used in allocating positions to the Senior Account Clerk level. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEither: 1. Two years of paid, full-time experience employed by SacSewer in the class of Account Clerk. Or: 2. Three years of paid, full-time experience preparing or reconciling financial or statistical records. Note: Completion of 30 semester units (45 quarter units) including two mathematics, bookkeeping, or accounting courses, from an accredited college or business school may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Part-time experience is converted to full-time based on 173.6 hours = 21.7 days = 1 work month. Performing clerical accounting duties within an Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) or other proprietary accounting software/system.
