As a Human Resources Manager for Student Affairs at University of Pittsburgh you will play a pivotal role in supporting our mission to foster a vibrant and inclusive student and staff community. Student Affairs is committed to providing comprehensive services and programs that enhance student learning and development. This position will report to the Associate Director of Administration. Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the goals of Student Affairs to attract, develop, and retain top talent. Oversee all aspects of the HR function within Student Affairs, including recruitment, facilitating onboarding, training, performance management, employee relations, roster management, leaves of absences, and salary increase process . As part of the Student Affairs HR team, the HR Manager will serve as a consultant to the Division in ensuring compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreement(s) while fostering productive labor relations - including grievance handling, adherence to CBA terms, and maintaining positive employee relations in an unionized environment. As a representative of the employer, it is vital that this role maintains confidentiality and discretion as they have access to confidential and sensitive information to labor relation matters both for union and non-unionized employees. Collaborate closely with department heads and directors to understand staffing needs and provide strategic HR guidance. Contribute to the development and execution of the Division of Student Affairs' strategic HR initiatives.
