The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience, and is expected to bring a structured, collaborative, detail-oriented and proactive approach. The ideal candidate must have a willingness to learn, drive to continuously improve, and is team-centric with strong integrity. Core Responsibilities • Monitoring, troubleshooting, and repair of customer energy transfer station sensors, equipment and control systems • Designing, planning, budgeting, and managing customer energy transfer station refurbishment projects • Assist in designing, planning, budgeting, and managing new construction projects • Provide technical support for business development initiatives including project feasibility, technology assessment and budgeting • Interface with customers on technical issues • Provide operating summaries and reports of plants and customer sites • Assist with metered data assessments in support of billing, performance analysis, and forecasting • Interface with local agencies for permitting and regulatory compliance • Assist with distribution system street work planning and management • Other technical/engineering activities that may be identified to aid in reaching company goals Working Style to Be Successful in This Role: • Demonstrates exceptional initiative and execution skills • Collaborative with excellent interpersonal skills including being capable of developing and maintaining positive relationships internally and externally • Highly analytical with a keen attention to detail • Delivers high-quality work with speed and accuracy • Adapts quickly in a dynamic, complex, and fast-paced environment, managing changing priorities effectively • Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently with minimal supervision Professional Experience & Knowledge: • Bachelor's degree in engineering required o Mechanical systems experience is essential o Process and power systems experience highly desirable o Civil and structural experience is desirable • Five years' professional experience • Experience with at least one of the following: o District energy o Mechanical engineering design o Project engineering o Project management o Process engineering o Power engineering • Ability to travel to and work daily in downtown Chicago (office and on job sites) • Strong analytical skills • Excellent organizational skills • Strong problem-solving skills • Independent thinker Technical Skills & Requirements: • Strong oral and written communication abilities • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for creating spreadsheets and using formulas • Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, AFT Fathom desirable • Control systems and data acquisition systems experience is desirable • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail Conditions of Employment: • Successful completion of Criminal Background Check and Drug Test • Valid Illinois State Driver's License • All certifications/licenses must be up to date Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) CenTrio maintains a steadfast commitment to a proactive safety culture, with HSE being a collective responsibility throughout the organization.
