Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA - PRNWilliston Care Center, Williston, Florida We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team at Williston Care Center, specializing in subacute rehabilitation. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement individualized therapy plans aimed at restoring function, improving mobility, and enhancing the quality of life for our patients. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care: Assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients with various conditions, including neurological, orthopedic, and medical issues, following the plan of care established by the Physical Therapist. Therapeutic Interventions: Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities such as heat, cold, and electrical stimulation to promote healing and improve function. Patient Education: Instruct patients and their families on exercises, use of assistive devices, and strategies to enhance mobility and independence. Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards. Collaboration: Work closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including nurses, physicians, and other therapists, to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes. Equipment Management: Ensure that all therapy equipment is properly maintained and ready for use. Compliance: Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures, to ensure the delivery of safe and effective care. Qualifications: Education: Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. Licensure: Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state of Florida. Experience: Previous experience in a subacute rehabilitation setting is preferred. Skills: Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment. Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certifications. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move patients as needed.
