Voith Hydro is hiring for: Manager of Field Service, Site Mgmt York, PA Summary - In this role, the incumbent is responsible for planning and managing the field site activities for projects and to ensure execution within safety, quality, time and budget requirements. ResponsibilitiesOverseas execution of field service scope of projects. Defines standard processes, tools & procedures for the planning and execution of field site activities. Understands technical requirements as well as legal/regional regulations. Identifies, hires and assigns site managers and supervisors. Provides leadership and coaching. Ensures and facilitates staffing of project sites by site management in line with execution plans. Oversees and controls time recording and compensation of field labor and supervision. Defines and verifies qualification requirements and initiates training measures. Monitors and improves performance regarding quality and safety at site. Supports site activity planning and ensures implementation of standard planning systems and tools. Ensures availability and adherence of work procedures and quality plans. Monitors adherence to cost budgets, identifies risks and initiates corrective actions. Facilitates implementation of good practices and lessons learned across field sites. Supports site management in implementation of site layouts, site infrastructure and tooling/fixtures. Oversees site purchases and sourcing. QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED Experience as Supervisor and/or Manager Previous experience as site manager or supervisor on Hydro Turbine/Generator Project. Capable of reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, schedules and budgets Good communication and interpersonal skills Fully computer literate MS office suite Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the key actions of job.
