Position Overview We are seeking a Startup Success & Events Associate passionate about supporting entrepreneurs and startups advancing climatetech innovation. In this role, you'll enhance the experience of our startup members by assisting with onboarding, planning and executing best-in-class events that convene and connect the regional climate and energy ecosystem, and supporting member communications. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, and ensuring things run smoothly behind the scenes. This role will report to the Director of Startup Experience & Events. What You'll Do Support event logistics before, during, and after events, including space setup and breakdown, catering support, name tags, signage, vendor management, and more Manage event supply inventory including consumables, name-tag materials, swag, and more Support post-event efforts, including uploading registrants to data systems, importing photos to shared drive, and adding recordings to vimeo Support the logistical planning and execution of smaller day-time events including visitor tours, workshops, and lectures Design graphics and signage for event promotion, operations, and speaking programs Assist with planning and running community events like lunch and learns, Member Mixers, Town Halls, and office hours to maximize engagement Support the onboarding and offboarding of startup members, including managing processes in Salesforce and other internal systems Help create and update member materials and intranet content Support internal communications through flyers, intranet updates, and graphic design using Canva Track and review Certificates of Insurance (COIs), update Salesforce records, and run compliance reports Perform regular office walkthroughs to ensure shared spaces are clean and well-stocked Monitor and respond to member requests via the internal ticketing system (JIRA) and member suggestion box Provide front desk and reception coverage during assigned shifts Who You Are Passion for climate, sustainability, innovation, ESG, corporate social responsibility, social enterprise, startups, and/or storytelling Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to diversity and inclusion A strong commitment to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all and a belief that climate action must be inclusive to be effective. Qualifications Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in event/hospitality, humanities, environmental studies/science, entrepreneurship, or a related field, with a strong academic record Relevant experience in event planning, hospitality, or programming Basic graphic design skills or experience with Canva (or similar platforms) Customer service or member support experience preferred Proven initiative and leadership in academic, professional, or extracurricular settings Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail Positive attitude, adaptability, and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working with digital tools such as Asana, Salesforce, and Google Workspace General Physical Demands Reasonable accommodations will be provided upon request to enable candidates to perform the essential functions of the position. Communication: Regularly required to communicate with others in person, via phone, and virtually/electronically. Stationary Work: Prolonged periods working on a computer. Mobility: Regularly moving around the office to interact with colleagues, access files, and attend meetings. Physical Demands: Lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs. Additional Considerations Late Hours: Evening work will be necessary for events, roughly once a week. Work Location and Schedule This role requires on-site work at Greentown in Somerville, MA at least three days per week, including at least four evenings per month. Remote work up to two days per week is available with manager approval and schedule coordination. Hours may vary based on event needs.
