Maintenance Technician

Amira Minnetonka, a new 55+ active adult rental community, is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team! Benefits: 401(k) Match Healthcare Benefits Paid Vacation Time Paid Sick Time Paid Holidays and Floating Holidays DailyPay Maintenance Technician Responsibilities: Assist in maintaining all mechanical equipment, emergency systems, building fixtures and groundwork as needed. Complete all work orders quickly and efficiently. Knowledgeable of building codes and regulatory compliance issues. Interacts positively with all team members in maintaining census by immediately completing apartment turns. Maintain the grounds, trash, sweep, dumpster areas, snowplow, etc. Assist with painting apartments during turnover, as well as hallway touch ups. Assist with custodial duties which include but not limited to, trash removal, carpet cleaning, etc. Shovel and salt sidewalks in the wintertime. Perform any maintenance task necessary as directed. Maintenance Technician Qualifications: Two years education and/or experience in maintenance, preferably residential property management. Boiler License preferred. Skills in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, appliances, doors & windows. Ability to motivate oneself and work independently Organizational skills Ability to relate to the elderly in a patient, compassionate and courteous manner. Current, valid driver's license. This position participates in an on-call rotation, every other week. 7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday 40 Hours Per Week
