Salary: $17.90 - $21.06 Hourly Location : 811 Harding St Waupaca, WI Job Type: Full-time Job Number: 2026 ADRC Clerk Department: HUMAN SERVICES Opening Date: 02/20/2026 Closing Date: 3/9/2026 11:59 PM Central Job Summary As a vital member of the Waupaca County Department of Human Services, the ADRC Clerk provides essential administrative support to the Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) and serves as a backup to the Transportation Coordinator and Senior Nutrition Program. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations, delivering outstanding customer service, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the ADRC team. This position requires a professional, compassionate, and team-oriented individual who excels in a public-facing role. The ADRC Clerk works under the direct supervision of the Aging & Disability Resource Unit Manager and is supported in their growth and development within the team. Essential ResponsibilitiesProvide courteous, respectful, and cooperative service to clients, the public, coworkers, and public officials, acting as a welcoming and knowledgeable first point of contact for individuals seeking ADRC services. Serve as a dependable and supportive team member, working collaboratively with ADRC staff on customer service initiatives and data management tasks. Participate in ongoing discussions and efforts to improve workflows and service delivery. Provides back-up support to the Transportation Coordinator, assisting with the coordination of non-emergency medical transportation services for eligible riders. Provides back-up clerical support to the Senior Nutrition Program Maintain and update the ADRC Resource Directory, ensuring community information is current and accessible. Organize and manage incoming mail, informational materials, and lobby resources to ensure a welcoming, efficient space for visitors. Create and maintain marketing and publication materials for the ADRC, including the development and distribution of the ADRC newsletter and other outreach materials. Perform accurate data entry and generate required reports using state and internal systems, ensuring data integrity and proper documentation. Provide administrative support by recording and preparing meeting minutes for ADRC unit meetings, advisory council meetings, and other designated sessions. Engage in continuous learning by pursuing personal and professional growth opportunities. Accept feedback constructively and apply critical thinking to support the ADRC mission and goals. PERIPHERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides assistance to other divisions within Human Services when additional support is needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork. Participates in special assignments or new initiatives outside the typical scope of duties when requested by supervisors or department leadership. Qualifications EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in a in a related field preferred. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years of clerical experience, including direct interaction with the public. Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesGenuine interest and ability to work effectively with older adults and individuals served by the ADRC. Proficient in modern office practices, including the use of computers and software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, general state database software programs, Adobe, etc. Demonstrates compassionate and professional customer service, with a focus on building rapport and trust over the phone. Strong organizational skills that support efficient and accurate workflow within the ADRC. Receptive to guidance and feedback, showing a commitment to continuous personal and professional growth. Communicates concerns, progress, and relevant updates with supervisors and team members. Capable of fostering respectful, collaborative, and productive working relationships. Ability to define problems and deal with a variety of situations Ability to think quickly, maintain self-control, and adapt to stressful situations.
