Field Service Technician

Job DescriptionTitle: Field Service Technician Location: Itasca and Client Sites Hire Type: Direct Hire Compensation:$65-75K yrly We are seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and servicing of advanced CNC and electromechanical equipment at customer sites. This role is ideal for a technically strong problem-solver who enjoys travel, customer interaction, and working on complex machinery in real-world environments. Key Responsibilities: Install, commission, and perform preventive maintenance on machines at customer sites Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control-related equipment issues Provide on-site customer training on machine operation and basic maintenance Deliver professional, customer-focused service during all customer interactions Provide remote technical support when not traveling Support machine installations at trade shows and exhibitions as needed Document service activities, findings, and corrective actions Qualifications & Experience: Associate degree, technical certification, trade school diploma, or equivalent hands-on experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, Automotive, or related fields High school diploma required 4+ years of hands-on electromechanical maintenance experience 4+ years of experience working with modern CNC machinery Strong working knowledge of: Mechanical, electrical/electronic, and pneumatic systems CNC equipment and power tools Blueprint and schematic interpretation PLC fundamentals and basic C++ concepts Mechatronics systems Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
