About the Role Kitsap Credit Union is searching for a Sr. Learning & Development Manager to work hybrid out of our corporate Bremerton office. The Sr. Learning & Development Manager (Sr. L&D Manager) is a key enterprise educator responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-impact leadership, professional development, and enterprise-wide learning programs. This role blends deep instructional design expertise, advanced facilitation skills, leadership development experience, and strong program management. The Sr. L&D Manager partners closely with leaders across Retail, Back Office, and Human Resources to ensure learning initiatives strengthen organizational capability, support career progression, and align with Kitsap Credit Union’s strategic goals. This role also supports the Manager, Instructional Designer, Organizational Learning Specialists, and L&D Operations Specialist through mentorship, collaboration, and subject-matter leadership. This position plays a critical role in delivering executive and manager-level training, enhancing leadership readiness across the organization, and ensuring L&D programs drive measurable business outcomes. Leadership & Professional Development ProgramsDesign, develop, and deliver leadership development programs for supervisors, managers, and high-potential employees. Create and facilitate workshops on coaching, communication, performance management, change readiness, and leadership behaviors. Partner with the Director, L&D to align leadership offerings with strategic priorities and talent development models. Coach leaders on effective learning application, reinforcement strategies, and ongoing skill development. 2. Instructional Design & Program DevelopmentDevelop instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, and blended learning experiences aligned with adult learning principles and modern training methods. Collaborate with the Instructional Designer to ensure brand consistency, strong learning architecture, and effective evaluation practices. Produce high-quality learning assets including guides, QRGs, videos, microlearning, job aids, eLearning modules, and communication materials. Serve as a senior design resource for complex, enterprise-level learning initiatives. 3. Facilitation & Delivery ExcellenceFacilitate high-impact in-person and virtual training sessions for leaders and employees across the organization. Model best-in-class facilitation for the broader L&D team. Support major enterprise initiatives, including change management, cultural programs, DEI training, and organizational rollouts. 4. Strategic Consulting & Stakeholder EngagementConduct needs assessments to identify organizational skill gaps and recommend training solutions. Collaborate with business leaders and SMEs across multiple departments to align content with operational realities and performance expectations. Advise leaders on learning strategies that support organizational performance, succession readiness, and employee growth. 5. Program Evaluation & MeasurementUse Kirkpatrick Levels 1–4 to measure program effectiveness and adjust learning experiences based on results. Analyze learning data, engagement metrics, and participant feedback to drive continuous program improvement. Partner with L&D Operations on dashboards, reporting, and tracking of leadership development initiatives. 6. Coaching, Mentoring, & Team EnablementProvide guidance to Organizational Learning Specialists and other team members in facilitation, design, and professional development. Serve as a resource and mentor for newer trainers and facilitators. Support department-wide capability building through best practices, templates, coaching, and reinforcement. 7. Enterprise Collaboration & Special ProjectsPartner with DEIB Committee members to embed equitable and inclusive practices into program content. Support cross-functional projects involving culture, technology adoption, process training, or organizational redesign. Assist in selecting vendors, tools, and platforms that enhance leadership development and learning experiences. Collaborate with the L&D Operations Specialist on LMS assignments, content updates, and learning paths. 8. Learning Technology & Content GovernanceSupport LMS administration by ensuring content accuracy, version control, and appropriate placement within learning pathways. Evaluate new technologies and techniques to enhance learning engagement and development. Maintain strong technical proficiency in modern tools including virtual facilitation platforms, Microsoft Office, and learning content tools. Required Skills and AbilitiesAdvanced facilitation skills, including the ability to deliver engaging in-person and virtual learning at the leadership level. Strong instructional design capabilities for complex, blended learning programs. Ability to consult with leaders to identify development needs and recommend learning solutions. Strong program management skills, including planning, execution, and evaluation. Solid understanding of leadership development, coaching techniques, and organizational change principles. Ability to mentor and support other L&D team members. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready materials. Ability to analyze evaluation data and apply insights to improve learning effectiveness. Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Psychology, or related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and delivering enterprise learning programs. 5+ years of experience facilitating at the supervisor, manager, and executive levels. Strong understanding of adult learning theory, coaching practices, and leadership development methodologies. Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects and partner with senior leaders. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong program management, prioritization, and organizational skills. Experience managing multiple initiatives simultaneously with high accuracy. Strong proficiency with MS Office, virtual meeting tools, and learning technology platforms. Preferred QualificationsExperience in financial services, credit unions, or similarly regulated environments. Experience with LMS administration and course authoring tools such as Articulate 360. Background in process improvement and change management. Professional certifications such as APTD, CPTD, or leadership coaching certifications. Demonstrated experience designing leadership programs or succession development curricula. Supervisory Status This position supervises others and is responsible for being results oriented, collaborative, delegate effectively, and embrace the organization’s core values, ensuring team effectiveness. Working Conditions This position will be required to work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, and, with or without reasonable accommodation is required: Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a minimum of 75% of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machines. Occasionally ascends/descends stairs. Constantly positions self in work environment. The person in this position frequently communicates with peers, supervisors, vendors, and employees to exchange accurate information and answer questions. Must be able to detect objects at a distance. On occasion will move up to 20 pounds of office objects. Works in an indoor office environment but expected to attend meetings in buildings that require travel in outdoor weather conditions.
