AP Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Vendor Master team as a Master Data Specialist who will assist in the day-to-day activities and various responsibilities pertaining to supplier master data within the organization. Daily, this position will interact directly with suppliers and employees to ensure compliance with the Global Procurement Policy and country-specific laws. The candidate will use multiple web-based systems to accurately create, maintain, and validate supplier master data on a timely basis for our organization. The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years’ experience in a fast-paced environment. The ability to meet deadlines and flexibility in handling changing priorities is essential to be successful in this position. ResponsibilitiesProcess vendor master additions and changes in an accurate and timely manner Set up and maintain vendor’s records and bank details. Maintain accurate tax information to support year-end processing of 1099’s and other requests Provide support to new and existing users who experience issues with Vendor Cafe VC Exempt Vendor creation and updates. Assist manager and supervisor with performing root-cause analysis on master data integration problems, Vendor Shield. Assist manager and supervisor in the governance of change requests to Vendor Master Team components and policies. Review Vendor Master Team data requests to ensure high-quality data is available to execute Procure-To-Pay business processes. Assist manager and supervisor with constant improvement in the quality and accuracy of the master data to ensure uninterrupted business continuity Provide helpdesk support in a timely and professional manner. Inform requestors that requests have been approved/completed. Participate in any compliance audits and respond to internal & external audit and control · queries if necessary. Participate and support the teams in the implementation of projects RequirementsAssociate degree in business preferred or equivalent experience Evidence of exceptional ability Experience with ERP systems Highly accurate and detail-oriented 1-2 years of experience in Finance and/or Operations role preferred Able to work independently with little instruction and can adapt to change Able to work well with others in a team environment Proficient in Microsoft Office Professional written and verbal communication skills required with a customer service approach Comfortability learning new software/tools with minimal supervision Attitude is everything, must be open to learning, collaborating, and helping where needed. Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance required. Preferred1-2 years’ direct experience in Vendor Master role a plus Intermediate+ Excel skills preferred Previous experience with data validation and analysis preferred.
