About the job DeltaV Automation Engineer - Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical DeltaV Engineer - Life Sciences Automation | Kalamazoo, MILocation: Kalamazoo, MI (Onsite, up to 25% travel) Salary: $105K-$145K + uncapped bonus Industry: Life Sciences | Biopharmaceutical | Pharmaceutical | Medical Devices About the Role: We are seeking a DeltaV Engineer to design, configure, and implement Emerson DeltaV automation systems for regulated Life Sciences manufacturing. This role offers hands-on opportunities in system integration, batch processing, and regulatory-compliant automation. Key Responsibilities: Design, configure, and implement Emerson DeltaV control systems and ISA-88 batch processes Engineer system architecture, HMI, historian, and control strategies Ensure compliance with GAMP5, cGMP, and 21 CFR Part 11 Conduct FAT/SAT, startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams Mentor junior engineers and support technical growth Travel up to 25% for on-site commissioning Must-Have Qualifications: Bachelor's in Electrical, Control Systems, Chemical Engineering, or related field 3-7 years of hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV systems and PLC integration Expertise in ISA-88 batch processes and industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, OPC, HART, Foundation Fieldbus) Experience in Life Sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device environments Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Preferred Skills: Knowledge of historian systems, alarm management, and advanced control strategies Familiarity with Rockwell Automation, Siemens PCS7, or other DCS/SCADA systems AutoCAD and electrical design experience Mentoring and translating functional specs into software design Why Join Us: 100% employee-owned company with a growth and innovation culture Comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), ESOP, PTO, tuition reimbursement Work on mission-critical Life Sciences automation projects with national impact
