This position pays $21.13 per hour and is temp-to-hire with strong long-term potential .Situated right off I95 in Gray, this location offers an easy commute from Portland, Freeport, Windham, Mechanic Falls, Auburn, and nearby communities - making it an excellent fit for candidates seeking stability, hands-on technical work, and an opportunity to join a respected and growing company.Typical Daily Duties: Operate and maintain milling machines (manual & CNC), drill presses, band saws, and fabrication equipment Review drawings, blueprints, 3D models, and instructions for accurate production Select appropriate machine settings, cutting speeds/feeds, and tooling for optimal fabrication Measure and inspect completed units to ensure specifications and quality standards Provide feedback to engineers/designers and assist with new equipment/process implementation Fabricate custom fixtures and support line startups and changeovers What We're Looking For: Ability to pass a vision and dexterity test Experience setting up and operating milling machines (manual & CNC) Ability to read mechanical drawings and use precision measuring tools Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) A team player who can also work independently Associate's Degree in Machine Tool or similar, or equivalent experience CAD/SolidWorks experience is a plus To be considered for this General Machinist opening in Gray , please contact us using any of the methods below.
