Position Type: PHYSICAL FACILITIES/PURCHASING/WAREHOUSE/Physical Facilities Date Posted: 1/28/2026 Location: Physical Facilities Date Available: 02/17/2026 Maintenance - Helper/Gang Mower Non-contract, No BenefitsHours a day: 8 Hourly rate: $ 16.62 - $20.39 Depending on Qualifications Contact Information: Name: Zach Draper Phone: 801-610-8060 Email: The job of Maintenance Helper is done for the purpose/s of providing maintenance services with specific responsibility for assisting skilled trades; and ensuring that tools and materials are available at job site; maintaining facilities in safe operating condition; and addressing assigned immediate operational and/or safety concerns; and providing grounds maintenance at assigned site using gang mower to perform grass cutting operations. Essential Functions Assists skilled maintenance workers with projects (e.g. transporting and/or securing materials, completing specific tasks, etc.) for the purpose of completing projects in a safe, efficient manner. Assists custodial and grounds staff for the purpose of providing support to maintenance staff at site as may be required due to complete work activities. Assists in performing a variety of maintenance activities (e.g. carpentry, painting, glazing, preventive maintenance, etc.) for the purpose of completing projects within established time frames. Cleans gutters, culverts, catch basins and other drainage structures for the purpose of preventing damage and/or limiting liability exposure. Coordinates work schedule with assigned lead and other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently. Installs system component parts, classroom and office equipment and facility components under the guidance of skilled maintenance workers (e.g. lighting, heating and ventilating systems, alarms, plumbing, security, electrical panels, etc.) for the purpose of providing a safe working environment at sites. Maintains assigned tools and equipment for the purpose of ensuring their availability in safe operating condition. Performs grass cutting operations using ride-on mower for the purpose of maintaining fields and grounds in accordance with established requirements. Participates in meetings and training for the purpose of gathering information required to perform functions. Responds to emergency maintenance situations for the purpose of assisting in the resolution of immediate safety concerns. Transports a variety of tools, equipment and supplies as may be required for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at job site. Removes snow from access drives, parking areas and walkways for the purpose of ensuring the safe access to site facilities. Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit. Requirements age 16+ High school diploma or equivalent Valid Driver License Experience pulling a trailer is preferred
