We are seeking an experienced Transmission Line Engineer to join our high-voltage (HV) and extra high-voltage (EHV) overhead utility systems design team. This opening may be filled at either the Senior Engineer or Lead Engineer level depending on qualifications. Both roles will provide engineering/technical expertise on complex electric transmission line design projects, including: Line routing Survey coordination PLS-CADD modeling Structure and foundation design Clearance checks Plan/profile development Material specification and procurement Constructability evaluations Work order package preparation Permitting Vendor/subcontractor coordination Construction support What You'll Be Doing: For Both Roles: Develop and finalize PLS-CADD criteria and models Ensure compliance with relevant design codes and standards (NESC, IEEE, ASCE, ACI) Coordinate with substation, environmental, right-of-way, construction, and maintenance stakeholders Mentor/train junior engineers and team members Participate in internal and client-facing design review meetings Provide solutions to special design questions and complex engineering challenges Additional for Senior Engineer: Serve as a technical lead on projects, mentoring 2-3 entry-level engineers Focus on engineering execution and delivery excellence Additional for Lead Engineer: Lead and supervise a team of approximately 5 engineers (entry to mid-level), technicians, and drafters Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring quality and schedule adherence Set goals, delegate work, and oversee performance management Develop proposals and estimates for projects Build and maintain client relationships What We're Looking For: Required for Both Roles: Bachelor's degree in Engineering 6-10 years of transmission line engineering experience in the electric utility industry Proficiency with PLS-CADD Strong knowledge of relevant industry design codes and standards (NESC, IEEE, ASCE, ACI) Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) Ability to work in a safety-first environment and comply with all regulations Lead Engineer Additional Requirement: Professional Engineer (PE) license required Demonstrated experience leading and managing projects from initiation through completion Strong leadership skills with experience managing staff and multiple projects Senior Engineer Additional Requirement: Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required
