PeriOperative Clinic Director and Faculty Physician Introducing an exciting leadership and teaching opportunity for a BC/BE Internal Medicine physician in an academic medical center located in Hartford, CT, one of the most desirable regions in the country to live and with one of the most renowned teaching hospitals in the region. Leadership and Faculty Position Details:· Role: Perioperative Clinic Director andOutpatient Academic Practicewith UCONN Internal Medicine Residents · Location: Hartford, CT · Setting: 25%, Periop Clinic Director - Hartford Region, 75% Academic Clinic-based, outpatient internal medicine working with our residents in the community health clinic · Schedule: Full-time (10 hours per week leadership, 30 hours per week faculty practice) · Phone Call Only: back-up resident coverage only · Other compensation: Guaranteed base salary, Loan repayment support, Sign-on bonus, Relocation stipend Perioperative Clinic Director, Hartford Region Scope (25%): · Lead Perioperative Medicine initiatives at Hartford Hospital (including BJI) · Supervision of advanced practitioners in the Hartford Hospital PAT and Bone and Joint Institute (BJI) PREPARE center · Attend monthly meetings and review with appropriate surgical Service Lines · Participate in Perioperative and other appropriate committees · Provide perioperative education oversight and quality improvement for peers · Supervise proactive risk reduction for high-risk patients before elective surgeries · Collaborate with the Hospital Medicine consult team · Provide professional medical services in perioperative medicine and primary care in Hartford region including preoperative evaluation and consultations, selectively ordering and interpreting appropriate diagnostic testing, imaging, and EKGs Faculty Practice Scope: (75%): · Outpatient internal medicine working with our residents in the community health clinic · Opportunity to integrate education of residents and quality improvement initiatives into clinical shifts · Professional development in academics, research or advanced leadership in a thriving hospital systemSample of Hartford HealthCare Benefits: · Paid CME time off plus CME budget, reimbursed professional licenses and dues · Paid time off plus all company holidays · Retirement 401K with sizeablematch · Family care benefits through includingemergency back-up care · Voluntary benefits include tuition programs, home, auto, renter"s insurance, identity theft protection, legal services, pet insurance and more! · Optional moonlighting/per diem opportunities in the hospital or urgent care settings About Hartford Hospital: Hartford Hospital is an 867 bed, academic medical center located in central Connecticut, one of the most desirable regions in the country in which to live.
