Job Title: CDL Class A Driver Primary Purpose The CDL Class A Driver plays a critical role in our distribution and supply chain operations. This position is responsible for the safe, timely delivery of grocery and perishable products to company stores, as well as the secure transport of backhaul freight to designated distribution centers. The driver ensures all deliveries and returns are completed according to company standards and regulatory requirements, while upholding the highest levels of safety, accuracy, and professionalism. Key Duties & Responsibilities Safely operate a tractor-trailer in accordance with company driving standards and DOT regulations. Assist with unloading deliveries at store locations as needed. Perform proper pre-trip inspections as required by DOT Regulation 392.7. Maintain accurate and complete delivery, pickup, and DOT documentation at all times. Ensure proper count, condition, and verification of all loads-including backhauls, for-hire freight, and relay (compound) shipments. Verify that all equipment is in proper working condition prior to operation. Recommend improvements to processes or procedures that enhance efficiency, productivity, or cost-effectiveness within the transportation or distribution network. Ensure compliance with all transportation-related standards in areas of safety, accuracy, and operational productivity. Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older. Possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Minimum of 3 years of tractortrailer experience. One year may be waived for graduates of an approved truckdriving school with proof of completion. No moving violations within the past three years. Strong working knowledge of DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Familiarity with proper and safe use of all equipment related to tractortrailer operations. Physical Requirements Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 70 lbs. Capable of meeting physical demands associated with store deliveries and freight handling. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience operating a tractortrailer in a distribution or retail environment. Thorough knowledge of all DOT regulations. Demonstrated excellence in driving skills and safety practices. Strong communication skills-both verbal and written. Ability to meet all requirements outlined in the DOT Federal Motor Carrier SafetyRegulations handbook, including passing a DOT physical and drug screening. null
