Journeyman Electrician

Job Description: Performs work activities related to hospital electrical systems, electrical installations, trouble shooting and maintenance tasks singularly or as directed by Master Electrician. Maintains life safety systems and facility special systems. Observes safety rules and wears protective gear and equipment. Required Skills: 1. Knowledge of standard codes applicable to healthcare facilities. 2. Knowledgeable of life safety codes 101, NFPA 70, 72, 110, 111, 70e, 70b and ADA requirements and specifications. 3. General knowledge of use of personal computers. 4. Ability to read, write, and speak English. 5. Ability to make mathematical calculations and follow detailed written and oral instructions. 6. Knowledgeable and understands what MSDS information is and how it''s to be used. 7. Must be thoroughly familiar with tools and methods of trade. Required Experience: A. Work Experience: Two years experience in electrical construction, operation and maintenance preferred. B. License/Registration/Certification: Texas Electrician Journeyman''s License C. Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalent required and completion of approved and accredited trade school course and trade apprenticeship program preferred.
