Database Engineer

Role: Database Engineer Duration: 6 Months Location: Princeton, NJDescription: The services You will provide the Client project team: As a Database Engineer Contractor, you will design, develop, and optimize database systems to support data storage, retrieval, and analysis. Design and construct large relational databases to meet project requirements. Develop and maintain ETL processes to integrate new systems with existing data warehouse structures. Optimize database performance by refining system functionality and ensuring efficient data retrieval. Implement and enforce database security measures to protect data integrity and confidentiality. Perform regular data validation and quality checks to ensure database accuracy and reliability. Additional Details for Role: Familiarity with Investment Management concepts and data sources; Working experience with databases (database and storage management) and ETL (data pipeline development); Support MVP scoping and data profiling by executing analyses, profiling critical fields, and maintaining the issue/gap register; provide analytical support to architecture (validate feasibility and optimize models for performance, scalability, and consumer usability) and modeling (translating use cases into logical and physical relational data models) workstreams; and draft inputs for the implementation roadmap and engagement documentation
