Full-Time Maintenance - District Office

LOCATION: Academics Plus Charter Schools 600 Edgewood Drive Maumelle, AR 72113 Academics Plus Charter Schools, Inc. (APCSI) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of a Full-Time Maintenance worker for the district. The custodian should be able to provide maintenance and custodial services as needed and/or as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma/GED Successful completion of the pre-employment background checks. REPORTS TO: Director of Maintenance & or School Principal ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and maintain a cleaning schedule that will include cleaning of floors, chalkboards, wastebaskets, windows, furniture, equipment, and restrooms. Maintain a program of preventive maintenance to ensure the comfort, health, and safety of students and staff. Move furniture, equipment of materials within building and across campuses as directed by principal or supervisor Keep school building and grounds, including sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and play areas neat and clean. Assist with the cleanup in the cafeteria during breakfast and lunch periods, cleaning trays, removing trash, etc, as directed by supervisor. Perform some heavy lifting. Perform work at varying heights on a ladder. Other duties as assigned. WORKING CONDITIONS: Physical Demands: Strenuous walking, standing, and/or climbing; heavy lifting and carrying; work outside and inside; exposure to hot and cold temperatures; exposure to dust, toxic chemicals, and materials; slippery or uneven walking surfaces; work on ladders; ability to lift and carry 75lbs.
