This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across multiple geographies, enables disciplined financial planning, and provides insights that support informed decision-making and sustainable business performance within a global manufacturing environment. At Laitram, the Director of Finance is positioned as a key strategic leader and a member of the corporate executive leadership team.Laitram is a global manufacturing leader with approximately 4000 employees worldwide and a broad portfolio of operating divisions. The company is privately held and generates over 1.3B in revenue built over a 70 year history of innovation and patented technology.Job Responsibilities and RequirementsKey Responsibilities Manage global accounting, FP&A, budgeting, and tax activities across multiple global regions and legal entities. Oversee the preparation, review, and consolidation of financial statements. Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable international, federal, state, and local statutory and tax reporting requirements. Direct the global annual budgeting process, periodic forecasts, and long-range financial planning activities. Analyze global financial performance by comparing actual results to budgets and forecasts; identify trends, risks, and opportunities by region and business unit. Deliver financial modeling, scenario analysis, and insights to support operational and strategic decision-making. Partner with regional and functional leaders to enhance financial visibility, governance, and accountability. Oversee global tax planning, compliance, audits, and coordination with external advisors across jurisdictions. Drive and support continuous improvement efforts in corporate accounting and across diverse global functions. Partner with Business leadership and finance leads to support program analysis and design for production and commercial incentives for diverse global departments and teams. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required. 7-10 years of progressive experience in global accounting, FP&A, budgeting, and tax, including leadership responsibility. Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial modeling, and compliance standards in a global environment. Experience supporting capital investments, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives across regions. Solid understanding of manufacturing accounting and economics, including labor, overhead, scrap, yield, and throughput. Proficiency in ERP and financial systems; advanced Microsoft Office skills required; experience with global ERP environments preferred.
