NUCLEAR MED PET/CT TECHNOLOGISTNuclear medicine Technologist (Cardiac PET stress tests)(Fulltime 4 days a week-10 hours a day or Part-time)$50+ Hourly or salary with benefits. CT certification is a Plus, who has the ability to multitask, stay organized and deliver excellent care in an efficient and compassionate manner.Nuclear Medicine Technologist:We are looking for a skilled nuclear medicine technologist to be responsible for the preparation and administration of radioactive drugs. Nuclear medicine technologist's responsibilities include operating imaging equipment and ensuring the safety of all medical staff and patients from unnecessary radiation exposure.To be a successful nuclear medicine technologist, you should have excellent technical and computer skills, as well as attention to detail. You should also have good communication and interpersonal skills.Nuclear Medicine Technologist Responsibilities:Preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals orally or by injection or inhalation.Explaining the imaging procedure to patients, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort while placing them in the appropriate position for scanning.Operating imaging equipment, such as PET and SPECT scans.Processing images on the brain, thyroid, bone, heart, lungs, kidneys, and liver on the computer.Monitoring patients for unusual reactions to radioactive drugs.Keeping detailed records of the amount and type of radiopharmaceutical used and of the procedure.Producing computer-generated or film images for interpretation by the physicians.Following safety procedures to protect staff and patients from unnecessary radiation exposure.Maintaining and examining medical machines and imaging equipment.Maintaining current knowledge of the frequent advances, innovations, and developments in the field.Nuclear Medicine Technologist Requirements:An associate's or bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine technology.A state license and certification to practice nuclear medicine.The ability to competently operate imaging equipment.Good manual dexterity and mechanical abilities.Good communication skills and empathy when dealing with patients and their families.Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.The physical stamina necessary to stand for long periods of time and lift patients who need help moving.Excellent and competitive salary.Work up to four days a week, 10 hours a dayNo calls or week-end work.Full time candidates with get Paid time off 2 weeks per Annum.Skills needed:CT Scanner Operational KnowledgeSchedulingDICOM Server UseUnder the direction of the department manager;performs interpretive readingspatient caretechnical functionsThe CT Technologist participates in technical duties directly involved with CT including developing, initiating, and monitoring procedures for the effective utilization of this unit. Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.Qualifications:High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)Graduate of an accredited, AMA approved, school of Radiology Technology.Active certification in Radiology Technology (ARRT-R)Active certification in CT (ARRT-CT) is required or will obtain within 18 months of date of hire/transferFlorida State License in Radiology Technology, or confirmed temporary license.Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) through American Heart AssociationPossesses a high level of knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.Proficiency with most major CT equipment manufacturer's hardware and software.Must be able to multi task daily.Knowledge of filing systems, telephone etiquette and customer service.Computer skills, medical terminology
