Responsibilities Position is in a hospital interventional radiology department Works primarily as an IR Tech, not a general X-ray role Trauma Level 1 facility Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm 13-week contract assignment May require floating to a nearby sister hospital Use of specialized radiologic equipment and imaging technology Involves performance of complex invasive diagnostic procedures PACS system and Radiology Information System (RIS) used; familiarity required Responsible for preparing patients and equipment for invasive radiology procedures and assisting the radiologist during procedures Performs quality assurance and ensures imaging safety best practices May assist with training new staff or students COVID vaccination is mandatory for this role No blocked scheduling permitted Online training modules must be completed onsite, typically one week prior to start Must be able to replenish and manage clinical supplies relevant to the IR department Work attire and dress code will follow hospital policy Requirements Active MI Radiologic Technologist license required at the time of consideration Minimum of 2 years of recent interventional radiology experience required Experience working in a trauma Level 1 facility required Current ARRT registry in radiography required Advanced ARRT certification in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (CI), Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI), or Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CV) is preferred Cath Lab experience required American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required High school diploma or GED required Must complete required online modules and receive a passing score prior to start Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-673553.
