ABOUT THE ROLE As a Business Development Specialist - Global Finance Department, you will be responsible for will playing a key role across the full marketing and business development spectrum.  The Specialist will support the Business Development team in collaboration with Business Development (“BD”) colleagues, attorneys and various departments across the firm. Other key responsibilities include: PRACTICE, MARKET AND CLIENT DEVELOPMENT Developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the Finance practice, market and industry expertise, client mix, matter experience, trade groups, and mediaProviding research, analyzing, and reporting to support the identification and development of new clients and the enhancement of existing client relationshipsBuilding strong relationships with lawyers to establish role as a trusted advisor STRATEGIC PLANNING Supporting the implementation of business development tactics and initiatives in alignment with the strategic objectives of practices, markets, relevant industry sectors, and/or clients, as assignedAiding in the execution of cross-selling strategies, including collaborating with relevant Business Development (“BD”) teamsCoordinating the research of markets, competition, and conflicts for the department and practice groups to drive strategy MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS AND CLIENT PROGRAMS Collaborating with lawyers and Business Development (“BD”) and Brand & Communications teams on speaking opportunities, webinars, and other visibility initiativesDeveloping internal communications to inform relevant practice and industry groups of significant achievements, developments, and market synergiesAssisting with the creation and maintenance of written marketing materials and web site content, including practice profiles and relevant experience lists, where appropriateProviding support for legal directories and related industry guides ABOUT YOU We’d love to hear from you if you: Demonstrate a high degree of discretion and independent judgmentPossess the ability to execute multiple work streams and manage priorities effectivelyDisplay exceptional oral/written communication and professional interpersonal skills And have: A Bachelor’s DegreeA minimum of two (2) years of experience within a law firm or professional services environment Successful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment, but will also be provided with a generous total compensation package with bonuses awarded in recognition of both individual and firm performance.
