Substance Abuse Counselor- ADT (Trainee)Main Purpose of the Job We are looking for a full-time Alcohol Drug Trainee (ADT) to join our team. In this position you will be responsible for conducting chemical dependency assessments, maintaining a caseload of OP, IOP, and PHP clients, providing individualized care to clients who attend the program through 1:1 sessions, and facilitating groups. The ADT will provide an opportunity for individuals to learn how to live a positive, sober lifestyle while empowering them to make changes that will lead to successful independent living.Essential DutiesComplete substance use disorder assessments, treatment plans, group notes, and other clinical documentationThe ability to verbally communicate with clients and staff in a clear and concise mannerComplete documentation daily for services providedFacilitate individual and group therapy sessionsFacilitate substance use disorder groupsTake part in a multi-disciplinary team to maintain excellent client care and treatmentBe familiar with current approaches toward treatment pertaining to Substance-Related Disorders, Mental Health Disorders, and ICD-10 codesBe familiar with COMAR regulations, DHMH, and CARF requirementsJob QualificationsApplicants must currently hold an ADT status in the State of Maryland.At least 1 year experience with a substance use disorder population (preferred)Computer literate and experience working in electronic medical records systemsAbility to build rapport with clientsPossess sound judgement, professionalism, and compassion for client careJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $25.00 - $28.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceMedical specialties:Addiction MedicinePsychiatrySchedule:Monday to FridayPeople with a criminal record are encouraged to applyEducation:Associate (Required)Experience:substance abuse counseling: 1 year (Required)License/Certification:Maryland ADT license (Required)
