This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference, confident in the moment, and committed to student safety and success.Key Responsibilities:Provide 1:1 behavior support to students with autism in a school environmentImplement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBARespond quickly and effectively to behaviors such as elopement to ensure student safetyCommunicate clearly with school staff, caregivers, and the clinical teamTrack data and document student progress throughout the school dayPromote independence and skill-building in social, academic, and daily living areasMust-Haves:Paraprofessional license through ISBE (must be active before starting)Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) required; we can provide RBT certification support for those new to the field.Experience working with children, preferably those with autism or in special educationConfidence in decision-making and responding in high-stakes momentsPunctuality and strong communication skillsNice to Have:School-based or classroom experienceFamiliarity with behavior intervention strategiesCalm under pressure and quick on your feetIf you're looking for a meaningful role where your presence truly matters every day—and you're ready to jump in and support some amazing students—we’d love to meet you!
