Overall Objective: The Director, Paid Social Media is responsible for directing, planning and implementing/executing social media campaigns. Manage the paid social media team, work collaboratively across the integrated planning teams and provide the guidance, support and leadership to empower team/departmental success.Responsibilities: Oversee the development of the Paid Social Media TeamDrive onboarding of any clients with a Social Media channel to be activatedFollow paid social campaigns through the entire buying processReview reporting, make optimizations and insights to the planning teamProvide oversight on how to build, scale, and optimize campaigns leveraging best practicesEither directly manage individual Social-only accounts or work collaboratively as part of a holistic media planning teamPerform technical audits for new and existing business for pitches and identification of additional opportunitiesParticipate in cross functional training in and outside of the Social Department, collaborating with Digital, Search, Creative, Organic Social and Account Service teams on strategy and resultsCommunicate with clients directly or via Account Services around results, tests, and needs on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis.Act as the liaison with our agency partners – Facebook, Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, Tik-Tok, and othersCoach the team on writing/testing relevant ad copy, creative assets, and assisting with landing page optimizationProvide on-going updates to the department on new Social technology and platforms, as well as evolving best practices in the spaceDevelop and document training to assist in coaching team membersServe as an escalation point for operational and/or client needs Qualifications: 7+ years of experience developing strategic Paid Social recommendations and stewarding social media account projects, acting as a client contactAdvertising, Marketing and/or Media Industry experience is highly preferredDeep understanding of advanced analytics and performance mediaStrong familiarity with marketing principles, analytics and conceptsExceptionally skilled in Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to discuss how those functions can or should be applied relative to the Social Media planning processExpert in negotiating and constructing Social Media plans, with understanding of planning, buying and activationExperience buying ads on Facebook and Instagram is crucial, additional platforms preferredExposure to advanced targeting/retargeting tactics in social, used both 1st and 3rd party dataExperience owning the full social strategy process inclusive of working with partners, clients and internal stakeholdersExceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to confidently present and “sell through” ideas both internally and to Clients, while coaching team members on these skillsComfort owning and managing budget/investment levels in Social Media across multiple accountsStrong experience navigating cross-department relationships Required SkillsRequired Experience Qualifications: Work is generally performed within a manufacturing environment subjected to temperatures of cold and warm along with wearing the proper PPE, with standard office equipment available along with plant manufacturing environment.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands or finger, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, or controls; may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
